He steered in slightly towards the SUV... AND THERE WAS NO ONE ON HIS RIGHT. H E COULD’VE EVADED. What the shit.

does it feel like he turned in to it or is it just me?

He’s pulled the videos of all his previous accidents (10 or so) from his channel but I tried to link to them in my post (I may have to un-kinja them). It
’s a pretty consistent theme.

this must be on purpose....

He sure as shit didn’t turn away from it.

Wow, this guy is a terrible fucking driver. Take his license away.

I’d say he turned into the crash there. He could have completely avoided that.

Amen. This is like the 9th or 10th such video he’s posted in half as many years. He has the accident avoidance skills of a drunk chimpanzee driving a road train down a glacier.

Looking through the rest of the videos it almost feels like he’s playing the insurance company. Most of the accidents he’s not at fault, but definitely could have been avoided by him. It’s like he wants to get into accidents, but makes sure they aren’t obviously intentional. Get a check from the insurance company for a couple grand to fix his vehicle, fix it yourself for 1/4-1/3 of that, then pocket the rest, rinse and repeat.
![]() 08/22/2019 at 16:33 |

I’m almost certain he turned into it. I would say target fixation but seeing his pattern he wanted that to happen

I LOL’d.

I have now reviewed all the evidence, he’s not at fault (in most cases), but he certainly could have avoided some.
here’s hoping he at LEAST doenst take that outside lane anymore on the left turn where he got hit twice.
![]() 08/22/2019 at 16:36 |

There was absolutely no reason for that crash. The guy shouldn’t have pulled out but the guy could have swerved.
![]() 08/22/2019 at 16:37 |

He’s definitely doing this on purpose. The ultimate version of “I have the right of way.”
I wonder how these turn out with insurance.
![]() 08/22/2019 at 16:37 |

Of all the video’s you posted and linked I think i see only one rear end accident that he couldn’t have avoided .

R ewatching that crossing over the on ramp video makes me upset.
![]() 08/22/2019 at 16:41 |

Such is the case in basically every video this guy posts
![]() 08/22/2019 at 16:42 |

Of all the videos linked there is only one that is a rear end that was not avoidable.

I sincerely hope his insurance company subscribed to his YouTube channel.
![]() 08/22/2019 at 16:42 |

I’m sure they’ll pay. This guy basically seems to be a pro at getting other people’s insurance to pay for accidents where they were at fault but he made basically no attempt to avoid.
![]() 08/22/2019 at 16:43 |

I noticed a theme. They are a terrible driver.

Yea I mean the guys is a complete fuckhead, but individually those videos show the other driver “at fault”.
I feel like everyone has thought of “not stopping” or otherwise not avoiding hitting someone who is clearly at fault (particularly if you’re rolling your beater, haha) but it is loony tunes to actually do it!
![]() 08/22/2019 at 16:47 |

Honestly I still think they’d have a hard time not covering his claims. Guys a real asshole though.
![]() 08/22/2019 at 16:48 |

Precisely. Unless someone sent the other person’s insurance adjuster the links to all the other videos, not much will happen. Maybe why he’s made all of them private...too bad I have the links :)
![]() 08/22/2019 at 16:49 |

Hah, I’d love to see those videos be his undoing.

Hey, it’s Austin! Which means that I’m not at all surprised by any of this.
![]() 08/22/2019 at 16:56 |

Well tbh it’s always the other guys insurance paying claims.
But if I insured this guy and saw these videos, I’d drop him in a heartbeat.
Wouldn’t surprise me if they did anyways just due to frequent accidents. There’s an obvious pattern that you don’t need the video for.

Yeah, I think you’re right. At fault or not if you get in 10 accidents in a year I’m pretty sure they can and will tell you to piss off.

I watched some of the other videos. This guy is a fucking menace. Every one of those crashes should have been avoided, and with all that iron on the front of his truck I wonder just how much damage he’s really taking. He’s out there to prove a point that he has the fucking right of way. I’ve been through a number of those double left turns where I just KNOW the other guy is coming over. I might make a show out it being close and honking my horn, but I will always give way. And that one where he hit the car as he was merging at the onramp is a dead giveaway. As are his practiced responses to all of these crashes. I’ll call them crashes because they ain’t accidents.

And/or collecting insurance money

I would have thought that any insurance company would have dropped him by now, even if those wrecks weren’t technically his fault.
![]() 08/22/2019 at 17:18 |

Not if they never get reported to his company
![]() 08/22/2019 at 17:20 |

Someone hit my wife, and it was clearly not her fault at all. Still, the other insurance company tried to say she didn’t do enough to avoid it and tried to weasel out of paying. They eventually backed down in the face of the evidence.
![]() 08/22/2019 at 17:26 |

Seems like he should be at fault since it doesn’t seem like he even attempted to brake. I’m no insurance claim person or lawyer, though.
![]() 08/22/2019 at 17:33 |

I can’t decide if this guy is a hero or a villain. Like... on the one hand the people in the videos all did the wrong thing and yeah... we’ve all considered just letting the accident happen. But on the other hand we’ve all done stupid shit and gotten away with it. The system works because usually one or more people in a situation sees it coming and avoids it. This guy just decided to opt out of that social nicety.
Maybe he isn’t the hero we need but the hero we deserve? (I saw “we” as a general population of terrible drivers in terrible cars.)
![]() 08/22/2019 at 18:28 |

Don’t get me wrong, I’m NOT here to defend the guy who failed to yield. But there are two things that stick out to me here.
1) If there wasn’t anybody in the right lane, why didn’t he swerve there I mean why was he in the passing lane in the first place ?
2) That is an AWFUL angle for those roadways to join at, and the shittiness of modern cars’ blind spots just makes it even worse. Again, not here to defend the guy. But seriously, even a blind spot monitoring system would be useless here. We NEED better visibility.
![]() 08/22/2019 at 18:33 |

If only there had been traffic in the right lane, I would have applauded him for not swerving into them and keeping the incident down to involving only two vehicles. Too bad that wasn’t the case here .

When the video starts, look at the way the front bar i s lined up with the center line in the road. He then starts to veer right... but moves left again just as the other car enters the lane. There’s a fine line here between simple course-correction, and aiming for the other vehicle. It might actually be a combination of the two.
![]() 08/23/2019 at 08:49 |

Yield? That means blindly pull out into traffic and hope everyone else yields to me, right?
![]() 08/23/2019 at 11:43 |

Wait... actually (yes, I have been thinking about this all evening) I was in a very similar situation, arguably worse, in a similar car and didn’t crash . Could have. Almost did. But didn’t.

I’d like to see this guy attempt Manhattan traffic. He’d never get anywhere because he’d get into an accident every block.
I remember trying to follow a friend for a while through some serious city traffic down there once, I had to tailgate him so closely I thought I might actually rear-end him, and had to basically force cabs to choose not to hit me on numerous occasions, just to keep him from getting ahead by one light or something, in which case it would have been all over. This is before google maps would have just directed us both to the same place on our own.
